Ahmed Imamović, bh. was born in Sarajevo in 1971, graduated film directing at Academy of performing arts in Sarajevo in 2002. During the studies he directed a number of theatre plays and movies, among which the one “Women” stand out, a documentary he directed in 1997. Member of European Film Academy since 2002. During the war time, he was a member of a group of Sarajevo authors SAGA, where he as a cinematographer and director took part in realization of thirty documentary and short feature movies. As a member of this group, he won a number of group awards from European Film Academy (FELIX) and British Academy of Film (BAFTA). His graduating short movie 10 Minutes at Academy of Performing Arts Sarajevo, was awarded by European Film Academy (2002, Best Short Film Award). He is a co-writer of feature movies Gori Vatra and Go West, as well as director and producer of Go West. Ahmed Imamovic’s documentary, short and feature movies have been screened on more then hundred international festivals and awarded at festivals in New York, Thessaloniki, Montpellier, Rome… The movie Go West won in total 38 international prizes.
